SQUAD NEWS: Kai Source Becomes a Red

Quorn Football Club have confirmed the signing of young defender Kai Source from St. Ives Town.

Banbury born and bred, Kai joined his local club, the Pilgrims, as a junior, before moving onto Oxford City and catching the eye of Reading. After spending time in the Royal’s Academy, Source had two seasons in the Under 18s Premier League, facing the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, including marking Max Dowman against the Gunners. There was also a chance to face international competition as Kai appeared against  Monaco’s Under 21s in the Premier League International Cup.

Kai left for Luton Town, spending last season with the Hatters Under 21s, before joining St. Ives in the summer. After five appearances this season with the Saints this season, Source has made the switch to Farley Way. “This is a good club that had a good season in the Southern League last year. It’s a new experience for me to play in the Northern Premier League against some big clubs.”

Welcome to Farley Way Kai.
