SQUAD NEWS: Elliot Smith Joins Reds

Quorn Football Club have confirmed the signing of young shot-stopper Elliot Smith.

Born in Leicester Smith joined local side Whetstone Juniors, where he quickly caught the attention of Leicester City. After a spell with the Foxes Academy, Elliot moved on to Northampton Town’s Academy where he received a scholarship with the Cobblers.

“I wanted to play for a team at a high level that has the same professional feel and competitiveness as Northampton Town” said Smith. “I need to get more experience in men’s football in a competitive environment and Quorn provides that opportunity. The coaching is great here and there’s a really good atmosphere amongst the squad.”
