SQUAD NEWS: Aidan Edwards Joins Reds
Quorn Football Club have confirmed the signing of midfielder Aidan Edwards. The Notts based youngster joins following his departure from Torquay United.
Edwards made five substitute appearances for the Gulls last season, including a debut appearance against Enfield Town in National League South. The Devon based side fared better than the Reds, defeating Enfield 3-1 that day. Aidan’s most recent appearance for Torquay came in March, playing 10 minutes off the bench as United slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to Dagenham & Redbridge.
Since taking up football in the parks of West Bridgford, Edwards has followed his football dream with spells at junior level with Nottingham Forest, Mansfield Town, Lincoln City and Notts County, before making the move south to join Torquay United.
A familiar face for Edwards is already at Farley Way “I know Jaiden (Campbell-Ryce) from school and having played football together over the years.” On joining the Reds Aidan said “It’s a great club and a great environment and I’ve really enjoyed the training, I can’t wait for the games to start. I’m still young, so the hope is to help the team with my performances and develop myself as a player and person.”
Welcome to Farley Way Aidan.
