After a disappointing result against the top of the league Spalding United, the Reds have an opportunity to bounce back against Royston Town, who currently find themselves at the bottom of the division. 

Quorn’s Form:

The Methodists have not been performing at the level they had previously this season, which had driven them to exceed expectations. Quorn haven’t won a league game in over a month, a run that has seen them drop out of the playoff places. It was a bitter defeat against Spalding United last time out. Quorn were leading in the match 3-1 going into the final five minutes. Two goals from Abduramane Sani and a dramatic late winner from Jack Roberts caused heartbreak at Farley Way. Despite the run of poor form, Quorn are by no means out of the race, currently finding themselves in sixth. There is still much football to be played.

The Opposition:

Royston Town have only been able to win one match in their last ten games. This result came two games ago against Bishop’s Stortford at home. It was a hard-fought win for The Crows as they scraped out a 2-1 victory. Royston’s last match was almost as dramatic Quorn’s, having led for a long spell away to Halesowen Town. The Yeltz drew level before scoring a 97th minute winner.

Head-To-head:

The two clubs have only played each other once before. This fixture came at Farley Way earlier in the season. Royston Town came from behind to win the game 2-1. Mason Frizelle scored Quorn’s one goal, whereas Kian Harness was able to score two to win the game for Royston Town.

One to watch:

Given his previous history of scoring against Quorn, as well as an impressive goal record this season, Kian Harness must be on the mind of Ryan Beswick going into this game. Harness’ five goals this season have in the lead for the golden boot with the Crows.
