Quorn face Harborough Town for the first time since November of last year. The Reds will be looking for a positive result in their penultimate pre-season game, in what will be another tough test for the Reds.

Quorn’s Form:

After a disappointing result against Bedworth United, the Reds were hoping to put a positive spin on the result by beating Spalding United at Farley Way on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be against the higher league opponents, who came away with a 3-0 win, padding the scoreline with two very late goals. Despite the result it was a vastly improved performance, showing encouraging signs that the Methodists are starting to find their feet and gelling as a team.

The Opposition:

The Bees come into this game in some fine form, having beaten step four side St Ives Town 1-0. They recorded an impressive 2-0 win a few days before that against National League South side Chesham United. They started pre-season with four goals when they played out an entertaining 4-4 draw against step three side Real Bedford.

Head-to-Head:

The Reds will be very familiar with facing the Bees, with numerous league matches over the past decade. Harborough won both league meetings 1-0 last season in extremely close encounters. Previous games include a day to forget for the Red’s back in 2024 when they lost 5-0 at the Beehive.

One-to-Watch:

Silvio Bello is certainly a name who will be familiar with the Reds. The former Quorn man was a mainstay in Ryan Beswick’s squad last season before signing for the Bees this summer. Bello started his career in the Nottingham Forest Academy before moving on to play in Spain. A short spell at Ilkeston followed his return to England. In four seasons at Farley Way, Bello established himself as an ever-reliable full back, whose tricky runs earned him a deserved tag of fan-favourite. Silvio made 137 appearances for the Reds, scoring seven times, most notably the 96th minute winner in an unforgettable 3-2 thriller at Anstey Nomads.
