CUP NEWS: FA Cup Draw Made
Quorn Football Club have been drawn at home to Shepshed Dynamo in the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup. Dynamo have already started their campaign, beating Romulus 2-0 at home on Saturday afternoon. Our Charnwood rivals currently sit fourth in the NPL Midlands division, having picked up seven points from their opening four league games.
Their season began with a 0-0 draw at home to Belper Town followed by a 3-2 victory over Long Eaton United at the Dovecote three days later. Quorn found out that the Oval will be a difficult place to visit this season, and so it proved for Dynamo, with Bedworth United running out 1-0 victors. Following the signing of Jake Williams, Shepshed have kept back-to-back cleansheets, with a 1-0 win away to Basford United and that 2-0 victory over Romulus in the cup.
The two sides have met several times recently, with Quorn having the better of recent results, however, the only meeting between the sides in the FA Cup came in the 2014/15 season as Shepshed won 2-0 at home in the Preliminary Round. Other cup meetings have seen four County Cup clashes, with each side having won two times apiece.
The match will take place at Farley Way, on Friday the 4th of September 2026 (19:45 KO). Due to revenue sharing in the Emirates FA Cup Season Tickets & Junior Member Cards are NOT valid for this fixture, however, we will be offering a reduced entry price for the fixture. Admission charges for this match are £10.00 for Adults, £8.00 for Concessions, £3.00 for U16s, Free for U12s.
