TROPHY NEWS: Déjà Vu All Over Again

Quorn Football Club have been drawn away to Kettering Town… again! After falling to the Poppies in the FA Cup earlier this month, the Reds will have an opportunity to return the favour as they travel to Latimer Park again in October, this time in the first round of the FA Trophy.

Having never met in 101 years, Quorn will now face Kettering for the fifth time in 13 months. The Reds won the first match up, 2-1 in the FA Cup last season, before the Poppies completed a league double in the Southern Premier, and made it a hat-trick earlier this month in the FA Cup second qualifying round.

Quorn reached the first round proper with a 4-2 win at home to Leamington at the weekend. The victory sees the Reds match our best ever run in the FA Trophy, reaching the first round for just the second time, equalling the performance of the 2023/24 season when the Methodists eventually went out 5-3 away to Stafford Rangers.
