SQUAD NEWS: Zak Goodson Commits to the Reds

Quorn Football Club are delighted to confirm the retention of top scorer Zak Goodson. With 23 goals in 39 matches last season, Zak won Player’s Player of the Season, amongst a host of others including Man of the Match during the County Cup Final. In two seasons at Farley Way, Zak has scored 35 times in 81 appearances, and his retention is a massive coup for Ryan Beswick as he fought off higher-level competition for the coveted forward.

“It was an easy decision for me once I knew that the gaffer was staying” said Goodson, continuing “I’m really enjoying my football at Quorn after having a few previous seasons at clubs where I didn’t enjoy it.”

“Having played in the NPL before, I know what to expect and can't wait to get started again. I know it'll be a tough test but hopefully I can help the team push on and make more memories as a group. I look forward to the season starting and seeing the fans at Farley Way.”
