SQUAD NEWS: Skipper Departs

Quorn Football Club have confirmed that Club Captain Reece Fyfe has departed for NPL Premier rivals Alfreton Town. Reco’s first appearance for The Methodists came as a youngster in the 2016/17 season, returning to the club during the promotion winning 2022/23 season. In his second spell at Farley Way, Reece has been part of two promotions and our first County Cup win in 15 years.

Reece departs as our most capped current player, making 141 appearances, including 119 starts. In that time he scored eight goals from midfield, and almost every one of them was a stunner. His free kick against Coventry Sphinx and long range strike away to Banbury United were runners-up in Goal of the Season in the past two years.

Everyone at Quorn would like to take this opportunity to thank Reece for his time at Farley Way, and wish him all the best for the future. Reco set a superb example in his time at the club, captaining the team for the past two season, and will be incredibly difficult to replace.

Thank you Reece.
