SQUAD NEWS: Reds Royally Pleased with New Signing

Quorn Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Prince Mancinelli from County rivals Barwell. Ironically, Mancinelli’s final appearance for the Canaries was on Tuesday evening when they lost 3-0 to the Reds at Farley Way.

The athletic midfielder made 30 appearances for Barwell this season, scoring five times, including most notably the only goal when the Canaries won 1-0 at Farley Way in late August. As well as Barwell, Mancinelli has enjoyed spells with Basford United, Belper Town, Long Eaton United and Tamworth.

“We are delighted to get Prince in the building” stated Player/Manager Ryan Beswick, who was a teammate of Mancinelli at Nuneaton Borough. “He’s had nearly every club in the league trying to sign him, so for us to get the deal over the line is a massive coup for us. He’s got fantastic ability and more importantly is a great character and all the lads will love him. I am very excited to see him in a Quorn shirt and see if he can help us drive on upwards for the remainder of the season.”

Mancinelli made 69 appearances for the Boro’ across the course of two seasons at Liberty Way. The signing was confirmed by the Southern League before the registration deadline on Thursday, meaning Mancinelli is available to make his Reds debut tomorrow afternoon at Stratford Town.

Welcome to Farley Way Prince.
