SQUAD NEWS: Jesse Friend Makes Loan Move

Quorn Football Club have confirmed the loan signing of another highly rated Notts County youngster as Jesse Friend arrives at Farley Way.

Friend is a well-known name locally, having recently been snagged by the Magpies after winning rave reviews with Shepshed Dynamo. Born in Harlow, Essex, Friend played grassroots football locally before joining Isthmian Premier Division side Cheshunt.

A degree course at Loughborough University saw Friend head north, joining Shepshed Dynamo for a couple of seasons before signing a first professional contract in the summer with Notts County.

“I’ve known about Quorn for a good while, having played them a few times at Shepshed” noted Friend, “everyone I’ve spoken to that has had involvement with Quorn has said positive things, so I’m looking forward to proving myself at the level whilst I continue to develop.”

“I already know Luke Cox from his time at Shepshed, and of course Elias Reaney from Notts County, so that helps to bed in. I’m looking to make a positive contribution in the time that I’m here. I’m a creative player and will hopefully score a few goals as well.”
