SQUAD NEWS: Hari Carries On!
Quorn Football Club have confirmed that young goalkeeper Hari Corbett will remain with the first team squad for a fourth season.
The young shot-stopper joined Quorn as a member of Jonny Handley’s Under 12s, and has been at the club ever since. Now 19, Corbett is shortly set to complete a third year with Pro:Direct Academy Leicester, based at Farley Way.
Having fully recovered from several niggling injuries last season, Corbett is excited to be back in training. “Last season was frustrating” he revealed, explaining “I had an injury that just wouldn’t heal, it was tough as I hated being unable to train and it was the first time I’ve had a long spell on the sidelines like that.”
Earlier in the season Corbett had made his FA Cup debut, coming off the bench to help preserve the shutout in a 8-0 win at home to Sherwood Colliery. It was Hari’s second appearance for the club, having also come off the bench the previous season in a 5-1 league win at home to Loughborough Students.
“I’m delighted to return. I’ve been at the club a long time now and it’s just a great place to be. I know this season is going to present a lot of difficult challenges, but I think the boss has shown he knows what he’s doing and he’s putting a good squad together. I’m just excited to get started.”
Welcome back Hari.
