SQUAD NEWS: Gus Goes to Church

Quorn Football Club can confirm that Gustavo Sanches has left Farley Way, signing for Southern League Premier Central Division side Alvechurch.

Sanches arrived with Quorn midway through last season, making 16 appearances, including six starts. Gus scored twice for the Reds, with both strikes coming in back-to-back matches. His first goal for the Methodists was in the 3-0 victory over Barwell in the County Cup Semi-Final. He followed that up with the equaliser away to Stratford Town in a thrilling 2-2 draw. 

Gus also played a part in the County Cup final, coming off the bench to help the Reds secure the title for the first time in 15 years. Everyone at Quorn would like to take this opportunity to thank Gus for his time as a Red and wish him all the best for the future.
