Quorn Football Club have confirmed the signing of experienced defender Brad Gascoigne.
Born and raised in Nottinghamshire, Brad now works full-time as a coach at G3A, an Academy that he runs with ex-teammate Tom Elliott. Getting into the game himself as a youngster, Gascoigne worked his way through junior football, and graduated from Birmingham City’s Academy.
The imposing defender has played extensively at step two and step three throughout an impressive non-league career that has featured spells with Corby Town, Worksop Town, Hereford United, Buxton, Stamford, Alfreton Town, Matlock Town, Barwell, Basford United, Kettering Town, Mickleover and Sherwood Colliery.
Two of Brad’s more notable spells were with Nuneaton Town, where he played alongside current Reds Player/Manager Ryan Beswick, and Tamworth, where he helped the Lambs to the National League North title.
“I enjoyed working with Bez at Nuneaton, so when he asked about joining here, I was excited about the prospect” explained Gascoigne. “From the outside looking in, Quorn looks like a well-run club where I will be able to enjoy my football again.” A proud Father to daughter Etty, Brad is available for selection this evening as we travel to FC United of Manchester.
Welcome to Farley Way Brad.
