SQUAD NEWS: Duo Dual Reg

Quorn Football Club have confirmed that Oscar Marshall and Simeon Cobourne have signed dual-registration forms with United Counties League Premier Division South rivals.

Marshall has signed with Hinckley AFC, whilst Cobourne has registered with Daventry Town. Simeon was sent off in the final game of last season for Sporting Khalsa, and starts the season with a three match ban. An FA loophole allows suspended players at steps 1-4 to play in matches at step five and below.

Ironically, the pair could face off on Saturday evening, as Daventry host Hinckley at 7pm in the opening round of fixtures for the UCL. The later than usual KO time is due to the season opening groundhop weekend. Neither player will play in the FA Cup extra-preliminary round the following weekend, retaining their availability for the Reds for later in the competition.
