SQUAD NEWS: Cobourne Joins Reds

Quorn Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Simeon Cobourne.

The former Halesowen Town forward scored 25 goals in 47 appearances last season with Sporting Khalsa as the Lions narrowly missed out on the playoffs. “I wanted to play back in step three this season” stated Simeon, continuing “and the way Quorn dominated step four last season, it’s clear there’s a confidence in the team that will progress into step three.”

Cobourne is no stranger to the level, having helped fire Halesowen Town into the Southern League Premier Central through the NPL Midlands playoffs in 2022/23. Comfortable across the front, Simeon also counts Coleshill Town, Heather St. John’s and Rushall Olympic amongst his former clubs.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Cobourne is no stranger to success, having scored the winning goal in the FA Sunday Cup for Trooper FC, where he was a teammate with Quorn ‘keeper Tom Allsopp. “My hopes going into this season are to stay healthy, score 15 plus goals, help the club push for another promotion and just enjoying playing against some big teams in step three.”

Welcome to the Stotto Stadium Simeon.
