SQUAD NEWS: Bello Buzzes to the Bees
Quorn Football Club can confirm that defender Silvio Bello has joined National League North Harborough Town. After 137 appearances for the Methodists, Bello will depart Farley Way, swapping Quorn’s Red for Harborough’s Yellow and Black.
Silvio arrived late in the 2022/23 season, helping Quorn to win promotion from step five through the playoffs and a 5-0 win away to Great Wakering Rovers. Over the following two seasons, the hard-working defender proved himself at step four, making 80 appearances. The versatile Italian continued to impress last season, turning out 46 times as his performances won the plaudits of Reds’ supporters and caught the attention of clubs higher up the pyramid.
Bello scored seven times for the Dons, most notably his stoppage time winner in the 3-2 derby win at Anstey Nomads last season, and another late strike this past season to rescue a point at home to Halesowen Town. After helping the Reds to a first County Challenge Cup victory in 15 years, Silvio snagged the Supporter’s Player of the Season award.
Everyone at Quorn would like to take this opportunity to thank Silvio for his time at Farley Way, playing a part in the greatest spell in the club’s long history, and wish him all the best for the future.
Thank you Silvio.
