Quorn host Redditch United in the week with the aim of keeping up their current unbeaten streak.
Quorn’s Form:
The Methodists’ form has turned around massively in recent weeks, getting three wins out of three. Prior to this the club had failed to win in five of their games in what can only be described as a November slump. The Festive season has clearly got Beswick’s side up and running again as they sit third in the league.
The Red’s faced Needham Market last time out, a game that saw them overtake the Marketmen in the league after an impressive three goal haul away from home. Zhani Burgess was able to execute a cool finish to mark his first goal this season. This current run of good form has pushed Quorn up the league standings as they now sit only five points away from second place.
The Opposition:
Redditch United sit in fifth place at this stage of the season, only two points behind Quorn. It has been an impressive season for the Reds, who share a nickname with Quorn, as they only narrowly escaped relegation last season and have now found themselves fighting for a playoff place.
Young Wolves loanee Fabian Reynolds scored twice to beat Banbury United last time out. Prior to this Redditch had lost their previous two games against Spalding United and Harborough Town, the current top two in the league. The loss to Spalding was particularly tough for fans as the Tulips put seven past Redditch in their home stadium, it shows the resolve of the players to come back and comfortably win their next game.
Head-To-Head:
The two sides have never played each other before.
One to Watch:
Fabian Reynolds joined Redditch in the summer and has impressed so far at the Valley Stadium, scoring five goals this season. The athletic young winger has made six appearances for Jamaica under 20s, scoring once. He will have to be marked tightly by Quorn defenders to prevent him getting on the scoresheet.
