NEWS: Wilko, Over & Out
Quorn Football Club have confirmed that Assistant Manager Shaun Wilkes is stepping down from his role. “Wilko” joined the club in the summer of 2024 as Player/Manager Ryan Beswick’s first appointment to his back-room staff.
In his near two seasons at Farley Way, Shaun has been an integral part in the greatest spell the in the Reds century-long history. An incredible 2024/25 season saw Wilkes as Beswick’s right-hand man as the club wrapped up the Northern Premier League Midlands Division title with six games to spare.
The management duo have, so far, followed that up with an impressive debut season at step three, which sees Quorn on the verge of the playoffs in the Southern League Premier Central Division. As well as his position as Assistant Manager, Wilkes has also filled the role of Physio for the majority of this season.
Everyone at Quorn Football Club would like to place on record their gratitude to Shaun for his immeasurable contribution at Farley Way, and wish him every success for the future. Club Secretary Adam Etheridge stated that “Shaun has been a consummate professional in his time with the club and everyone here wishes him the best for the future. He’s been a fantastic servant for Quorn and we’ll always be grateful for his contribution.”
