NEWS: 2025/26 Award Winners Announced

Quorn Football Club ended the 2025/26 season with the annual Awards Night celebration. Fans were invited to join in the celebrations as the club put on a buffet and a quiz as part of the entertainment. The main focus of the evening though was to recognise the tremendous efforts of the players and coaches for a remarkable season that saw an eighth place finish in the league and a first County Cup triumph in 15 years.

The first award handed out went to Zak Goodson, as his 23 goal haul secured the Golden Boot for the season. Player/Manager Ryan Beswick then announced that his Young Player of the Season was summer addition Finn O’Boyle, whose late strike off the bench on opening day saw him score the clubs first goal at step three. The final award in the first section went to Deen Master, as he was named the winner of the inaugural Media Team Player of the Season.

The second section of the evening followed a similar pattern, O’Boyle was a recipient once more, securing the Man of the Match Award, a prize given to the player that is named Man of the Match by sponsors on the most occasions. Master also secured a brace as his long-range strike away to Leiston was voted Goal of the Season in an online poll. Goodson would also win a second award with his hat-trick away to Bury Town securing him the Highlight of the Season.

The final segment saw four more awards as long-serving stalwarts Jonny Handley and Jo Musson were named co-Clubperson of the Year, leading the U23s to an historic Cup treble as well as their other duties around the club. Another online poll of fans saw Silvio Bello named as Supporter’s Player of the Season. There was another award shared as Beswick announced both Mason Frizelle and Simeon Cobourne as his Manager’s Players of the Season. The final award on the evening saw Goodson complete another hat-trick, adding the Player’s Player of the Season to his already impressive trophy cabinet.
