FIXTURE NEWS: Puritans Return to Quorn for Preseason Date
Quorn Football Club have confirmed that Banbury United will return to Farley Way for a preseason fixture in early August. The Puritans last visited Quorn in March, with Cain Noble and Jack Duffy scoring for the Reds in a 2-0 win. Banbury won the reverse fixture 3-2, despite Noble being on the scoresheet that day as well, nipping in to pinch a goal in the opening minute. Banbury responded with two quick strikes before Reece Fyfe equalised before half time with an absolute stunner. United took all three points though, scoring a 94th minute winner on the break.
The two sides will resume acquaintances on Saturday the 1st of August at 2pm. Fans will be invited to remain after the match and join the party as we celebrate Chairman Stuart Turner’s 90th birthday. Keep an eye on the website and social channels for details of ticket prices and further preseason fixture announcements. Our announced preseason schedule so far:
Saturday 18th of July - Bedworth United (A) 15:00 KO
Saturday 1st of August - Banbury United (H) 14:00 KO
