SQUAD NEWS: Madou About You
Quorn Football Club have announced their latest signing in the form of former Notts County youngster Madou Cisse.
Born in Llerida, Spain, Madou made the move to Nottingham when he was seven years old, quickly coming to the attention of the Magpies’ Academy. After nine years at Meadow Lane, Madou recently became a free agent, and has agreed to make Farley Way his new home.
Cisse made his professional debut with County when he was just 18 years old, playing in the FA Trophy in the Magpies’ promotion season. The following year he went on to make his EFL debut, coming off the bench in 3-0 victory over Newport County in League Two. His first start would come a year later, against Walsall in December 2024.
“I got a good feel from the place” admitted Madou when asked about joining Quorn. “It feels like a family club and the boys seem to be a good bunch who enjoy being here. They play for the gaffer and his plans aligned with mine, so it seemed to be a good fit all round. I’m hoping to push and get into the play offs with the team and, individually, I just want to play as many games for the club as can, contribute to a successful season and push on in my career. I think I can achieve that here with Ryan.”
