SQUAD NEWS: Duo Depart to Power Turbines’ Promotion Push

Quorn Football Club can confirm that Jack Duffy and Finn O’Boyle have left the club to sign with Southern League Premier Central new boys Peterborough Sports. Duffy will link up with his former Stamford Manager Graham Drury, who has taken the reigns at Lincoln Road.

Jack rejoined the Reds late last season, scoring four times in 12 appearances, taking his total to eight goals in 17 matches for the Methodists, following a spell in the 2020/21 season. Jack helped Quorn to their first County Cup in fifteen years, as the Reds defeated Loughborough Students at Holmes Park in May.

Finn was a late preseason arrival, making an instant impact off the bench, scoring the stoppage time winner away to Worcester City on opening day, Quorn’s first ever goal in step three. O’Boyle made forty appearances in his only season at Farley Way, scoring seven goals and winning both the Young Player of the Season and the Man of the Match awards at the end of season celebration.

Everyone at Quorn would like to take the opportunity to thank Finn and Jack for their contributions to a memorable season and wish them all the best for the future.
