When: Saturday 16th of August 2025 (3pm KO)

The Stotto stadium host’s the Reds third game of the season in the league and Ryan Beswick’s team should be brimming with confidence. A well fought point on Tuesday night meant that Quorn earned their fourth point in two games to kick off the season. It was an unlucky ending for Quorn; however, they had every right to leave the game with their heads held high, focused on the next game as they put up a brilliant display against Stourbridge who finished 9th in the league last year.

Head coach Beswick is definitely pleased with how competitive his squad have been at the start of the season. He stated that “The lads are going above and beyond any expectations I had for them, and the club had for them really, because they’re up against it a lot”. It’s safe to say there is feeling from Beswick and his team that they’re going to give it their all this season.

The Opposition:

Located in Warwickshire, Stratford Town have had a rough start to the season having lost both of their opening two games. They sit bottom of the table having been defeated by Redditch United 1-0 and Banbury United 3-0. Having finished 8th in the division last season, it won’t be the start that Stratford would have hoped for, not scoring in either game or earning any points.

The Bards announced two signings recently. Defender Kory Roberts, who started his career at Walsall was welcomed to the club as well as striker, Ty Deacon. Having brought players in to bolster the squad, Stratford will be no easy contest for Quorn as they remain on the hunt for their first points to get the ball rolling for the season.

Last Game:

Quorn’s last game was under the lights on Tuesday night against Stourbridge. The game ended all square, but The Reds definitely could have walked away with all three points. After a shaky first 10 or so minutes, Quorn grew into the game, putting some wonderful attacking football on display. New signing Dennis Digie was the one to capitalise, making it 1-0 after he found himself in a 1v1 opportunity, on the end of a lovely, lofted pass from Ryan Beswick.

Dennis will be one to watch at the weekend as he will be full of confidence heading into the weekend after bagging his first goal for the club.

The second was a tough and fair contest with both sides giving it their all. Unfortunately, Stourbridge were relentless and managed to grab a goal in the final minutes of the game to draw level. Beswick highlighted after the game that his side had the opportunities to win but at this level his side have to be more ruthless and clinical in front of goal.

Head-to-Head:

The two sides are yet to face each other, with this Saturday being the first clash. With a good start to the season, The Reds will be hoping to capitalise on Stratford’s poor form. Being at The Stotto Stadium, we need as many Reds fans as possible to get behind the team and be the twelfth man as Quorn look to maintain their unbeaten form.

Stratford will no doubt make it a good contest as they will be eager for some points on the board. Get down to the Stotto Stadium for the 3pm KO to watch this exciting contest take place!
