When:

The Reds got off to a winning start at the weekend, can they continue that streak at home as the Glassboys visit Quorn on Tuesday evening.

Quorn’s Form:

The Reds kept a remarkable 13 clean sheets away from home last season, and started 2025/26 where they left off, beating Worcester City 1-0 at Sixways on Saturday. The result comes off the back of an unbeaten preseason where the Reds drew four and won four.

Stourbridge’s Form:

The Glassboys also got off to a winning start at the weekend, as they also kept a clean sheet against a newly promoted side. Jez Abbey came off the bench with half an hour to play , scoring a quickfire brace to snag all three points as Bury Town visited the War Memorial Athletic Ground.

Stourbridge also put together some decent preseason results, most notably beating National League new boys Brackley Town as Jack Concannon scored the only goal of the game. There were also wins against Dudley Town, Pershore Town, Lye Town and Coleshill Town. There were however defeats against Shifnal Town and Kidderminster Harriers, as well as a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Halesowen Town in the Brookes-Clark Shield.

One to Watch:

Captain Joel Kettle is a commanding presence at the back for Stourbridge. The 34 year old centre half is in his second spell with the Glassboys, bringing over a decade of high-level experience in the non-league game. Kettle is no stranger to Quorn Manager Ryan Beswick, having been a team-mate in stops at Tamworth and Solihull Moors.

Last Time: Quorn 1-5 Stourbridge (11/02/2006) Midland Football Alliance

It’s been almost 20 years since Stourbridge visited Farley Way, and there’s not a lot of information available about the match. What we do know though, is that Father of Jude and Jobe, Mark Bellingham scored a brace on the day, going on to win the Golden Boot as Stourbridge earned promotion with a second-place finish. Quorn were seventh in the table that season.
