Quorn play hosts in one of the most important games of the season, facing playoff rivals, Real Bedford.
Quorn’s Form:
It was a thrilling encounter last time out, away to Bury Town as players on both teams scored hat-tricks as part of 4-4 draw. Zak Goodson was on fire as his three goals rescued a point away from home, scoring the all-important goal in the ninety-second minute. This has left Quorn in fourth place, six points behind this weekends opposition. Though the Methodists have played three more games.
The Opposition:
Real Bedford have matched Quorn in their last three games, with a loss, a win, and a draw. Last time out it was a 2-2 draw with Needham Market. Despite being 2-0 up, The Pirates allowed two goals into their own net, conceding in the final minutes to lose the two points at home. Real Bedford, similarly to The Methodists, won promotion to the division last season after getting 104 points in the Southern League Central Division One in Step 4. Real Bedford’s last loss was against Stourbridge, a 2-1 defeat on the road, scoring a consolation goal in the ninety-fourth minute.
Head-to-head:
Only one match has ever taken place between the two sides. In November of last year, the Reds travelled South to Bedfordshire. Quorn’s top goal scorer Zak Goodson scored for the club in a 1-1 draw. Both goals were scored in the opening twenty minutes of the match.
One-to-Watch:
Josh Allen has made a name for himself as one of the most technically gifted strikers in the league. He has scored nineteen goals this season. Coming through at the Luton academy, 22 year old Allen has set the world alight at Real Bedford since his move there in July 2025.
