Quorn travel to Suffolk in the hopes of continuing a run of good results that has lifted them to fourth in the table.
Quorn’s Form:
The Methodists hope to be gaining some momentum going into the festive season, winning the previous two games, against St. Ives Town and Bromsgrove Sporting. The win against Bromsgrove Sporting being particularly impressive as the Reds put five past the home side in a convincing victory.
Quorn’s last game was another convincing win verses St. Ives. The game finished 3-1 to Quorn with Luke Cox scoring for the Methodists in the 84th minute to seal the three points.
The Opposition:
Needham Market are similarly coming off back-to-back wins, these coming against Bishop’s Stortford and Alvechurch. They outscored their opponents by just one goal in both these fixtures, beating Alvechurch 1-0 and Stortford 2-1.
Needham currently have the best home form in the division, beating seven of their last ten opponents that they’ve played at Bloomfields, this includes an impressive 6-1 thrashing of Royston Town on the 18th of November. The Marketmen currently sit third, one place above Quorn.
Head-to-Head:
The two sides have never played each other before this fixture.
One to Watch:
Midfielder Luke Ingram has to be on the mind of Quorn defenders going into this game, being the top goal scorer for Needham from midfield. First playing for Bury Town, Ingram has played for the Marketmen since 2013 and has become a favourite at Bloomfields in his time there.
