Quorn hope to keep the good times rolling after back-to-back wins and will want to make it four straight league wins at home against Halesowen Town.
Quorn’s Form:
Quorn’s form in the league has improved greatly in recent weeks not losing in the league since the 20th of September. In that time the Reds have had impressive results against Bromsgrove Sporting, Alvechurch and Bury Town. Quorn scored a total of eight goals across these three games compared to just three goals across the three opponents in the league before this.
The Methodists have not been able to win four in a row in the league this season yet with their start of the season run being halted by Barwell, this was after winning two and drawing one. Beswick’s side has clearly significantly improved their ability to put away chances, and the club is benefitting from it sitting in a play off spot.
The Opposition:
Halesowen bounced back last time out picking up an impressive 3-0 win over Banbury United away from home after losing 3-2 to Redditch United. Jason Cowley scored three in these games getting a brace in the 3-2 defeat to Redditch.
Halesowen, one of the preseason favourites, are a little off the early pace after a very successful 2024/25 season, only losing out on promotion in the playoffs, they currently sit just outside the playoff spots.
The Yeltz have struggled on the road only winning the one game away from home, the previously mentioned match against Banbury. At home however their form is better winning four out of six games, compared to Quorn who have only won three games at home in the league this season.
Head-to-head:
Quorn and Halesowen have never played each other before.
One to Watch:
Jason Cowley is one of the most lethal strikers in the league, currently sitting on six goals, this makes him joint third place top goal scorer.
Cowley signed for Halesowen from Hereford scoring fourteen goals for them across two seasons in the league. Cowley also has football league experience playing eighteen and scoring two for Stevenage in League Two.
The Birmingham born striker will need to be watched by Quorn to ensure he can’t be a match winner for the visitors.
