NEWS: Tom Cherry Returns

Quorn Football Club have confirmed that Ryan Beswick has moved quickly to appoint a new Assistant Manager. The role has been filled by a familiar face, with Tom Cherry returning to Farley Way, where he helped Richard Lavery earn promotion from step five, before joining him at Kettering Town.

Cherry was instrumental in bringing Beswick to Quorn, having previously worked with him and Lavery at Nuneaton Borough. “I’m over the moon to have Chez coming back and helping us kick on” noted Beswick, explaining “he’s an unbelievable character and will slot into our changing room perfectly. I always say I only want good people who enjoy being involved in football around me, he’s exactly that. Tom’s been around these levels for years, knows the game, the league and has a contact list for players as long as my arm!”

As well as his successful spell with the Reds, Cherry helped The Poppies on their remarkable FA Cup in the 2024/25 season as they knocked out Northampton Town in the first round proper and took Doncaster Rovers to extra time in the second round. Kettering also progressed into the playoffs last season, beating Harborough Town on penalties in the semi-final, before ultimately losing 4-2 to AFC Telford United in the final.

Welcome back Tom.
