NEWS: FA Competitions Update

The Football Association have confirmed that Quorn Football Club have been accepted into the FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Youth Cup. The Reds will enter the FA Cup at the same point as last season, the first qualifying round, bypassing both of the preliminary rounds. The first qualifying round is scheduled to take place on the weekend of Saturday the 5th of September 2026. Quorn will bypass three rounds of the FA Trophy, skipping the preliminary as well as the first and second rounds of qualifying, entering at the third qualifying round stage. That tie is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday the 26th of September 2026. The prize fund for both competitions were also announced this afternoon and are detailed below.

The young Methodists will also take part in the FA Youth Cup, with our new Leicestershire Midweek Floodlit Youth League team entering from the start of the competition, the extra-preliminary round, which will take place in the week commencing Monday the 17th of August 2026.
