Quorn Football Club is proud to support the Joe Humphries Memorial Trust (JHMT) this October as they launch their annual SADS Awareness week.

This year will mark the tenth anniversary of SADS Awareness week, which stands for Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.  The week marks the tragic passing of 14-year-old Joe Humphries from Rothley, who suddenly collapsed and died whilst out jogging on the 4th of October 2012.  Joe’s father Steve Humphries set up the charity in his son’s name to bring awareness and resources to prevent other young people and their families experiencing a similar event.

The Reds first team squad welcomed Alan to the Stotto Stadium on Tuesday evening as he took them through how to perform CPR as well as training them in how to use a defibrillator. Thank you to Neil Raffan, who was also on hand to photograph the event.
