FIXTURE NEWS: Reds Face Matlock Preseason Test

Quorn Football Club will travel to Matlock Town for a preseason friendly in July. The Reds will travel to the Proctor Cars Stadium on Tuesday the 14th of July (19:45 KO) in preparation for a second successive season at step three. Town play in the NPL East (step four), where they finished second last season, amassing an impressive 88 points, but falling short of Redcar Athletic’s 105. The Gladiators were defeated in the promotion playoff semi-final by Bradford ( Park Avenue ), but will be looking to go one better this season.

Matlock’s current squad includes some impressive names, perhaps most notably former Northern Ireland international Conor Washington. The former Derby County hitman played well over 100 times in the Championship and scored six times in 43 appearances for his country. Ticket details will be announced closer to the time.
