Bio: With well over 100 appearances for Quorn, Jack Samples is firmly entrenched as a fan favourite with the Reds.

 

Born in Burton-Upon-Trent, Jack developed a love of football through his parent’s enthusiasm for the game, joining his local club Heather St. John’s at five years of age, Samples stayed for six years before joining Ravenstone, where he played for his Dad, alongside his twin brother. After playing MJPL for Aylestone Park, Jack moved in to adult football with Oadby Town, before spells with Coalville Town, Ashby Ivanhoe and finally, fierce rivals, Anstey Nomads.

 

Joining the club as a box-to-box midfielder early in the 2021/22 season, and has been an integral part of the club’s turnaround in fortunes since that time. Jack made the most appearances of any Red in the 2022/23 step five promotion season, with 47. Injuries disrupted Jack’s following campaign, but a move to left back for the 2024/25 season saw Samples regain his starting spot as he helped the club to a second promotion in three years.
